MSB Data Collection & Evaluation Framework

The MSB Consulting, LLC Framework, encompasses professional practice, mixed methodology, and contextual awareness to foster health equity, embrace culturally responsive and anti-racist practices, and promote community, partnership engagement, accessibility, and inclusivity through evaluation while offering education and enrichment. Our commitment to ethical evaluation practices, cultural respect, and integrity guides us in selecting appropriate approaches and theories, identifying areas for professional growth, and pursuing ongoing development. We aim to use evaluation as a tool for promoting social justice and the common good. We involve diverse collaborators, employ program logic and theory, and use culturally sensitive data collection methods. We rigorously analyze data, recognizing both strengths and limitations, and interpret findings in the broader context as well as within its specific context. These principles are the foundation of our work, ensuring ethical, credible, and impactful evaluations and training.

Culturally Responsive & Anti-Racist Practices that Ensure Equity

Culturally Responsive Practices are aware of cultural influence on the context of health and therefore, take into account (and respect) cultures of affected groups. Anti-Racist Practices acknowledge historical impacts of racism, systemic biases, power imbalances and historical inequities on affected groups. Anti-racist practices should also seek to heal these impacts, while advancing equitable opportunities and/or at the very least doing no further harm.

Culturally Responsive Services

The very concept of equity is rooted in principles and values that guide decision-making and shape the desired outcomes of the evaluation process. Moreover, if evaluators strive to be values-free in their pursuit of equity but their evaluation design is built on hidden bias, it will not only distort all measurements and outcomes throughout the project, but also jeopardize the expression of truth and hinder the achievement of genuine equity.
